Rare yellow sea glass pendant. Found on the beach in Seaham (UK).
Against a 2 euro cent coin, the size of a dime.
Sea glass is glass (from glass factory’s, broken bottles etc.) that has been tumbled by the sea for decades. Sand and stones give the glass its rounded appearance while the salt water gives it a “frosted” look. The glass from Seaham beach comes from a glass factory that was build on the cliff near the ocean. At the end of the day the leftovers glass would be thrown in to the sea. So most of the glass there has been tumbled for almost 100 years.
